Fire Stopping Auckland
Fire stopping specialists for commercial projects, remedial works and ongoing building compliance support.
When fire collars are required
Fire collars are typically installed where combustible plastic pipes pass through fire-rated walls or floors. During a fire the plastic pipe can soften or melt, creating an opening that allows fire and smoke to spread through the penetration.
Fire collars contain intumescent material that expands when exposed to heat. This expansion crushes the pipe and seals the opening to help maintain the fire performance of the wall or floor.

Fire Stopping Specialists Auckland
BAKKER PFI installs tested fire stopping systems across Auckland commercial buildings to maintain fire compartmentation and prevent fire and smoke spreading between building firecells.
What is Fire Stopping
Fire stopping is used to seal penetrations created when building services pass through fire rated walls and floors. These systems restore the fire resistance of the building element and help maintain the building’s fire safety design.
Common Fire Stopping Systems
Typical systems include fire collars for PVC pipes, fire sealants for electrical penetrations, fire wraps, cable tray barriers and fire batt systems for grouped services.
Fire Stopping Installation for Commercial Buildings
We provide fire stopping installation across Auckland construction projects and existing buildings requiring remedial passive fire work.
