What we did
Passive fire installation throughout the new build hotel
Fire stopping of plumbing penetrations
Fire stopping of electrical penetrations
Fire stopping of mechanical penetrations
Documentation of completed passive fire installations
What went well
Scissor lift and scaffolding were supplied which made access at height safer and more efficient.
What we discovered
When other trades change the locations of penetrations after they have already been installed, it creates more than double the amount of work to fix.
Making the next one easier
On future new build projects, penetration locations should be finalised before passive fire installation begins to avoid unnecessary rework.
