What went well
Access to penetrations was excellent across the building. Most penetrations were located at normal ladder height which made installation safer and more efficient.
What we discovered
All structural walls that have penetrations through the top plate inside the walls need to be sealed. These can be missed because they are concealed within the wall structure.
Making the next one easier
On similar apartment projects, top plate penetrations should be identified early and sealed before wall linings are closed up.
